Seriously, lets be honest and clear here. Trump’s statement was bad. It was patently hypocritical, completely rude, and grossly inarticulate. Its hypocritical because Trump drives mostly german luxury cars. Its rude because going over on a state visit and then shitting on your hosts is rude. Especially keeping in mind that Germany is a key US ally. And i really shouldn’tneed to explain why “Germany is very, very bad” is inarticulate. Its like the dumbest way that the drunken idiot at the bar would describe a complicated global trade issue.

Comparison of social composition in the three Leipzig neighbourhoods ( figure 2 ) shows that, in 1994, the share of households classified as gentrifiers was at most three per cent, while "pioneers" represented about six per cent of households. At that time the population structure was still strongly dominated by families and older residents. Eight years later, marked changes were in evidence. The share of pioneer households, ranging between 19 per cent (Neustädter Markt) and 27 per cent (Südvorstadt) sometimes even exceeded those recorded by comparable studies of West German edge-of-centre areas ( table 1 ).

Because the unification of Germany happened so recently after so many years of division, some citizens bristle at the side effects of living in a nation with such diversity in economic output. Activists from the more economically vibrant areas protest the fact that their tax dollars are being used to subsidize government programs and living standards in the less fortunate parts. But this dynamic plays out in the ., without the regionalist undertones found in Germany. Take, for instance, South Carolina, which gets back in government spending $8 dollars for every $1 dollar its citizens pay in taxes, whereas many states like New York and California get back less than a $1 for every one they send to the federal government.
